What is PT Prima Multi Terminal's current business development and how is it developing?




KUALA TANJUNG INDONESIA (Media Bisnis Nasional.com) - PT Prima Multi Terminal (PMT), a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP), is reported to continue developing Kuala Tanjung Port as an international logistics hub and project.


National Strategic Project (PSN) in the Strait of Malacca. Development focuses include improving   container  transhipment services, optimizing exports and imports, digitizing operations, and international collaboration, including a partnership with Penang Port.


Main Focus of Development:

  • Enhanced International Services:  PMT served MSC Group's first international shipment from Kuala Tanjung to Singapore, strengthening its position as a strategic logistics gateway.
  • Strategic Collaboration:  Signing of MoU with Penang Port Sdn Bhd in September 2025 to strengthen the   container transhipment network in the Malacca Strait region.
  • Human Resources Development & Digitalization:  Through  Container Terminal Operator  (CTO) training, PMT improves human resources capabilities to adapt to digital technology to increase competitiveness.
  • Container Flow Growth:  Until November 2025, PT PMT's container flow experienced growth, supported by increased export-import activities at Kuala Tanjung.
  • Safety and Operational Standards:  PMT implements quality, environmental, and K3 management standards (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018) to create  operational excellence . 

As part of the Pelindo Group, PMT plays a vital role in logistics efficiency in North Sumatra, including serving the Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone and the industrial areas around Kuala Tanjung.
